Works cooperatively between the Accounting Department and program site to assist in providing banking and money management services to program members.

Community Mental Health Medical Services Administrator

This position is a highly placed leadership and administrative nursing position providing for conceptualization, coordination, and quality oversight of psychiatric care, physical health care and their integration.

Employment Specialist

Assists adult with mental illness in identifying employment interests, skills, experience and options in order to facilitate the member’s development and pursuit of a plan that leads to employment.

Human Resources Generalist
Works under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources and works cooperatively with site directors and hiring managers to provide human resources services to the Agency’s programs, including the delivery and management of recruitment/employment, employee relations, personnel policy, employee benefits, federal and state compliance, unemployment insurance, safety, worker’s compensation and training.

Information Specialist

Works with considerable independence and knowledge to enter billign, program, clinical outcome and other data into one or more progrmas or computer systems.

Lead Peer Supporter
Under the direction of the Senior Program Manager, coordinates all aspects of client run center of El Centrito de Apoyo, including the resources development, staffing, groups and community based activities.

M-Health Worker

The Homeless Innovations Project is a program designed to integrate primary care and mental health care services within a mobile, “street medicine”, homeless outreach and intensive case management team model.  This project is funded for three years by the Department of Mental Health in LA County, Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).  This project will target people experiencing homelessness with both severe mental health issues and chronic physical health issues who are not connected to any services. The project will utilize evidenced based outreach and engagement, harm reduction, housing first, motivational interviewing and supported employment and education practices.  The goal of the project is to inform system wide learning around the integration of primary and mental health care and project participants achieve a level of recovery from their illnesses, live in permanent housing and become full participants in the community.

Nurse Practitioner
Under the general supervision of a psychiatrist, provides a comprehensive spectrum of psychiatric services to assigned program participants.

Peer Advocate
Organize existing clubs/groups and provide assistance to the meetings function smoothly.

Peer Supporter
Under the direction of the Senior Program Manager and Warm Line Peer Supporter, answers Warm Line phones and provides verbal assistance, information, personal support and as needed follow-up to callers seeking help and information from the program. 

Personal Service Coordinator (PSC)
Serves as the primary support and case manager for adults with mental illness by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their chosen community.

PSC-Nurse (LVN/LPT)
Serves as the primary support and case manager for adults with mental illness by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their chosen community.  Provides license-dependent physical and mental health services as needed.

PSC-Nurse (RN)
Serves as the primary support and case manager for adults with mental illness by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their chosen community.  Provides license-dependent physical and mental health services as needed.

Psychiatrist

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for assessments, medication management, supportive therapy, supporting medical care, support phone sessions, occasional home visits, on-call service, and phone availability after hours. The Psychiatrist will use the recovery model, and be able to work in a noisy team environment, create and maintain high emotional connections with our members, and be able to work in a non-hierarchal setting. The Psychiatrist will focus on the entire life of the members, not just the symptoms or illness. The Psychiatrist will participate in administration, program development, supervision of students and nurse practitioners, training and advocacy if interested and needed.

Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, coordinating, and tracking of program work for the California Center for Dignity, Social Inclusion and Stigma Elimination. This contract entails project management, community outreach, and identification of “Promising Practices”, evaluation of identified Stigma Discrimination Reduction (SDR) programs, support and training.

Recovery Supporter
Assists mental health consumers in assigned region with forming new groups.  Helps to organize existing clubs/groups and provide assistance to help the meeting function smoothly.

Registered Nurse-HAP

Serves as a physical health care provider and coordinator of medical services for members of the Village Homeless Assistance Program and 530 Elm Project.

Registered Nurse-Temporary

Serves as the primary support and case manager for Transitional Age Youth with a severe and persistent mental illness by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their community. 

Resident Service Coordinator

Serves as the primary support and case manager for adults with mental illness by assisting them to live as independently as possible as a resident in 530 Elm and the Courtyards.

Security Guard

Works collaboratively with all MHALA staff to ensure the safety of employees, members, and visitors.

Service Area Recovery Supporter

Coordinates and provides support to PRPSN’s consumer-run self help clubs/groups to help them organize, self-govern and function in an optimal manner.  Supports the work of PRPSN through participation in general PRPSN activities.

Team Director
Providing leadership and coordination to a multi-disciplinary team providing services to homeless individuals in Long Beach.

Assistant Team Leader

Assistant Team Leader works under the direction and guidance of the Department’s Team Leader and the Director of Programs to assist in providing leadership, coordination and to facilitate the smooth and efficient delivery of all services/programs. 

Worksite Supervisor
Assist adults with psychiatric disabilities to improve and enhance their level of employment functioning by providing intensive, hands-on training and coaching in personal and job skills that help them adjust to the world of work and prepare for competitive employment in the community.
