Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA)  employs a talented and diverse staff of over 250 people who are dedicated to helping those who live with mental illness live better lives. With the cornerstones of serviceeducationadvocacy and training, MHALA works to ensure that people with mental illness reach their rightful place as participating, productive members of our communities. 

MHALA unites the public and professionals, people with mental illness and their parents to advance acceptance and achievement for people with mental illness. Our services for adults and young adults are built on a recovery foundation of hope, empowerment, self responsibility and meaningful roles. Through our workforce development and training efforts, we train professionals in recovery and prepare the mental health workforce of tomorrow. We work at all levels to ensure that people with mental illnesses have a voice.

MHALA sites are located in Los Angeles, Long Beach and the Antelope Valley.
